Care & Support Centre for HIV/AIDS
Community care centre for the HIV/AIDS patients. Established in the year of 2008. We have treated 1215 PLHA per year in the out patients department and 630 PLHA admitted and treated for the opportunity infections. We have four field workers, one lab technicians, and a counselor who interact with the PLHA and non PLHA conduct free blood test camp, awareness programme on communicable diseases and HIV/AIDS.
We are doing care and support service for the whole sivagangai district for the infected and affected parents and children as follows:
- We have registered 2650 HIV infected clients.
- According to our survey 254 affected and infected children are abundant and neglected
- We are serving for these people for 10 years from 2008 onwards.
